Spain’s Football Chief Rubiales on Verge of Kissing His Job Goodbye | Firstpost Sports

The kissing controversy at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup has escalated. The latest in the string of events is Spain’s acting Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez intervening in the matter.

Hours after Spain defeated England in the final, the country’s football chief Luis Rubiales kissed a Spanish player named Jenni Hermoso during post-match celebrations. The gesture triggered widespread criticism from fans and the Spanish government, with many demanding his resignation.

  1. So you can throw banana's and say the most vile racist abuse and nothing happens but give someone a kiss and everyone is in a frenzy, asking people to resign, boycotts and going on hunger strikes? If that doesn't wake up black people and show other races hate us then we deserve all what they do to us!!!!! 😂😂😂

  2. Quite funny the difference of just a placement on the face that humans take so seriously. Had it been a few centimetres to the side, absolutely no problem. Just because someone decided thousands of years ago that kissing the centre of the face is romantic and the rest is not.

  3. I do believe he got overly excited and he felt proud and comfortable enough around her and gave her a smooch out of love and happiness .
I don’t think he should get fired, but I think it’s important for him to realize he crossed a boundary that made someone uncomfortable. It would have made me uncomfortable too. I just don’t think there was an a ounce of mal-intent behind it and I don’t think he should be fired or forced to resign. I didn’t realize he apologized either. I honestly would have accepted that apology and moved on.
The women saying he should be fired are extremists and give women a bad name and bad rap. There Is an obvious difference between a predator and a person who made a bad call. He doesn’t deserve to have his career ruined.

  4. Well these lesbian football ⚽ players, probably don't enjoy so much a kiss from such a good looking sexy guy as much as other girls or gay guys like me do. So I don't understand why people are complaining so much about the generosity of this stud…
It's also written in the bible, how we should appreciate god's first creation on earth, THE MALE.
It has probably to do with the secular education transmitted at Spanish schools nowadays… No biblical principles at all….

  5. This is going to be a big battle of egos if not properly handled by the Spanish football association or any spanish higher authority. This case will cause harm for spanish football. It's already ridiculed with a racism case in la Liga, team members going on strike against coach, now the kiss assault incident wth happened to Spain? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

  6. Hang on !!! If his kiss was inappropriate then EVERYONE that kissed or embraced any of the winning team members WITHOUT their explicit consent were acting inappropriately !!!!

This is the insanity of the “ me too “ movement and feminist logic . If any of that conduct was inappropriate then all of it was but nobody else is being targeted for dismissal including all the women kissing and embracing the winning team .

    It’s just hypocrisy.

  7. COMMENTS ..Coming from a countru like Spain….where they are so avanguard and their acceptance and legalising same sex marriages…..and the nonsense that comes with it….!!!
I don't see what's the problem here…..😢😢😢realy DON'T……THEN FIFA SHOULD HAVE TAKEN ACTION AT THE RECENT WORLD CUP OBSCENE GESTURE THE ARGENTINIAN GOAL KEEPER MADE WITH THE WORLD CUP BETWEEN HIS LEGS…….SO FIFA OR EUFA …WHO EVER THE PUCK YOU ARE……CATCH A WAAAKKKEEEE UUUPPPP…
    YOU SHITE….😮😮😢😢😢🤢🤢🤮

  8. Those saying the player was in on it? Or seemed ok at first?? She barely had time to register that it was not called for, and wholly inappropriate!

Imagine if it had been a female president of the team kissing the male players 🤔 holding her hands to the head of one and then planting one square on his mouth? Out passionate 'exuberance'!!??!! Really???🙄🤨😏

The internet would be toast😂 and she'd be roasted…no, burnt alive! 😂Hung, drawn and quartered…

He and his cronies trying to mansplain🤬 just because you think you can, DOES NOT give you the right to. He has the nerve to try and downplay what was clearly an act of abuse & perversion, masked as elation & 'exuberance'. There is no excuse for that kind of behaviour, no excuse!!!

  9. Fifa have the models sexing all these players and brain wading the footballers. That is how fifa have them footballers celebrated with sex. He is accustomed and did not know to restrained himself. Fifa pimps the footballers all the time.
